The SEAPHEIN has a membership of more than 50 institutions and the basic idea behind creating this network was to strengthen and reform public health education, training, and research through the network of institutions, promote public health as a discipline and essential requirement for health development in the region, recognize leadership role of public health in formulating and implementing evidence-based public health policies. The SEAPHEIN network has no formal structure in principle rather than keeping it as a platform for learning together and how can serve the governments and WHO in formulating policies, building evidence, and putting it into practice and research.
